Zumba come to Spain, via Belfast!

zumbaThe latest fitness craze here in Spain especially for ladies is Zumba- a sort of fitness dance movement to music which is so good for footwork. Carole has been attending these classes and raves about it! (Simon Hunter: been at Windsor for a couple of years 😎 )

Enough of this Zumba!

Up at the Lew Hoad club on hard tennis courts I met Happy again and we had some fun mens doubles. Happy has wonderful tennis technique and lives up to his name having an exemplary disposition.
His philosophy seems to be Budist in nature and post match discussions are wide ranging and vibrant. Solving world problems after tennis can take up to 4 hours over several beers at the club bar!

A big concern for ex pats out here is the likelihood that Sky TV will not allow BBC and ITV to be shown through its satellite systems soon. This would be a big issue especially for soap followers so hopefully there will be a resolution of the problem. It will all come down to money of course at the end of the day.

At the Australian Open Andy Murray has moved smoothly into the third round but soon will come up against the big boys. I havent seen his draw but I hope he avoids Raonic who I see as a big threat. Laura Robson plays Kvitova – a battle of left handers- and I give Laura an outside chance. Heather Watson I fear will have big problems v Radwanska.

I see at home the snow has arrived but I can’t say I miss it!

Hasta luego
