Windsor Club Tournament 2017

Yes, it’s that time of year again. Be sure to get your entry in quickly now!

The tournament is open to members regardless of standard. We particularly encourage players who do not play in leagues to partcipate, and all players will be graded to play along with players of similar standard. There will be plates in all events so players will get at least two matches in each event.

You can enter a maximum of three events.
Entry fee: One event £5, two or three events £10.

tennis, doubles, green, court, club tournament 20141. The Tournament will be held under the Rules, Regulations and Code of Conduct of Tennis Ireland. Entrants shall also adhere to the rules of Windsor LTC.
2. Entries will be accepted only if made online through the Tournament Software website, accompanied by the appropriate entry fees.
3. The tournament is open to all members 16 and over with the exception of members in the following categories: Pay and Play, Gym and Non-playing.
4. Entries will be graded based on player ability. In particular non-league players are encouraged to enter and will be graded to play along with players of similar standard.
5. Entries close at 8pm on Thursday 21st September 2017.
6. It is the responsibility of competitors to find out when they are due to play each day by searching the Tournament website, or contacting the Club at (028 9066 5188).
7. Competitors must report to the referee’s desk 10 minutes prior to match time.
8. Events may be withdrawn if there are insufficient entries.
9. Plate events will be held for competitors who were first round losers.
10. All matches will be best of 3 sets, with the third set being a Championship tie-break set of first to 10 points with a 2 point margin.
11. All players who reach the finals must be prepared to play on Saturday 30th October.
12. If a player is entering three events then they must be available for play all evenings for the duration of the tournament.
13. If a player is not going to be available for one evening of the week then they should enter a maximum of two events. If a player isn’t going to be available for two-three evenings then they should enter a maximum of one event.
14. All players should enter any times of unavailability when filling out the online entry form.
15. Should a player’s availability change during the duration of the tournament, they should contact club reception by phone or email as early as possible so as not to affect the scheduling of remaining matches.
16. Entrants in the Over 50 events must be aged 50 or over on 31st December 2017.
