Chris Parsons.

Dear Members

It is with great sadness and regret I am writing to advise you that Chris Parsons, long-term Treasurer of Windsor Tennis Club Belfast, died peacefully last week.

Chris was instrumental in keeping the Club prudent in financial control spanning over two decades.  He also led the Club as Chairman during a period of significant change to improve the Club’s facilities and also held the honorary position of Vice President when he retired from Council.  Chris leaves a legacy of a much stronger and sounder Club and we owe him a great debt of gratitude in terms of his time, effort and wisdom that has helped Windsor to be what it is today.

Our sincere condolences go to his wife Frieda and daughter Carole, his brother Charlie, son-in-law David and grandson Zack.

Many of his friends and colleagues, former squash and tennis associates, including those from Northern Ireland Scouts Association paid their respects at a short service at McCracken Memorial Presbyterian Church, Malone Road at 11am on Monday 26th August.
The family have asked that donations be made to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers.
