Hi David

Entries for the Club Tournament are now open - further information and Entry Forms can be found on the website, entries close Wed 13th May. There are 5 different events, play is spread throughout the week and finals are played on the Saturday. Players will be graded by the Tennis committee to ensure fair competition and matching of skill levels; if you have any questions please feel free to contact the Tennis Committee, or Gordon Addy and Cathy Fay.

The May Ball (black tie) will take place on the evening of the Finals day, and this year for the first time there will be a sponsored charity for the evening. If you feel you would like to contribute a prize for a raffle or offer help in any way please contact anyone on the Tennis Committee (Gordon, Cathy, Roy, Rosamund, Greg, Simon) or drop us an email. Further details to follow.

Windsor members Stuttgart bound again!
Following on from the last visit to Germany two years ago, 22 members have decided to travel to TCTachenberg during the Stuttgart Wine Festival in late August. Hotels and flights booked, all domestics courtesy of Gordon and Valerie, who will also be our translators during the trip!

First Serve
Tennis Leagues - snippets
Mens A Team narrowly lost out to Larne in Div 1, while Mens B sealed No1 spot in Div 4 with hard fought win over Civil Service in the Last match. Ladies B Singles team show great spirit and come from behind to clinch Div 4. Ladies A were also runners up in Div 3.
See Club notice board for all winning team members. Well done to all and we look forward to more trophies to be collected in October!

Four Teams of 8 have been selected and are ready for the start of the  Mixed League campaigns.
A new D team comprising mainly of members new to competitive tennis was admitted to the league at the last minute in Div 11.
Ladies and Mens Evergreens Teams have already been in action with mixed fortunes. Mens B had some difficulty locating Coleraine. David Frazer Team Captain felt it was near Skegoneill! 'Well it is the Belfast and District League' he was heard to say. Note to Wendy: early
Xmas present!

Requests by members for various enhancements to the WCB have been incorporated into the new version and a test version can be seen by clicking here  - it is intended that the migration of current bookings & members details will take place over the weekend. Feedback has been good from the Receptions staff, and they have suggested a couple of amendments.

Tennis- don't forget Club Afternoon on Saturday! Know someone who is thinking of joining? Bring them along!

Club afternoon

Four courts were used last weekend, and Saturday's weather forecast is looking great! If you haven't been down before, just ask for Big Brian, and he'll sort you out.
Don't forget, starts at 2!

Finally, the next issue will include some more from our squash buddies, and their successes. We'll also do a quick refresher on how to use the Court Booker, and some other bits and pieces.

And finally finally,  if you have any photos that you would like to share, send them in  and we'll get them up onto the website!
